Wrongful Dismissal

A person can claim damages in Superior Court (including Small
Claims Court) if he or she has been dismissed from their job, or
forced out of their job, and they were not at fault.

Our clinic provides advice
only with respect to this area of the law.
We do not represent clients at Court. We can give referrals.

Employment Standards

The Employment Standards Act sets out the basic terms and
conditions for most workers in Ontario. Complaints can be made if
an employer breaches the provisions of the Act.

Our clinic can help with drafting the complaint. We can also
represent clients if that is necessary or work with clients to help
them represent themselves.
Have you been fired
or laid off?
This brochure provides
information about the law
according to the Employment
Standards Act.
